CEO at Creativity Inc
After 10 years of learning the ropes in Fleet management, Human Resources and Operations Management, Greg’s career took a new direction in the mid-nineties. Harnessing his HR and Operational skills, Greg lobbied Unions and Senior Management at Australia Post to introduce an innovative employment program for people with disabilities. This took quite some time and effort, but it resulted in the first two young people with intellectual disabilities being appointed as Mail Officers in Australia.
Greg left Australia Post and joined the Australian Quadriplegic Association in 1995 in order to establish its first open employment program. Greg progressed through AQA to become General Manager and was ultimately appointed as CEO in February 2002. Seeing the need for change, Greg set about re-engineering AQA and, in 2003, AQA was re-launched with a new brand and image – Spinal Cord Injuries Australia. In his time at SCI Australia, Greg restructured and introduced new Peer Support, Business and Employment programs including the highly successful Workplace Injury Prevention Program, Teamsafe.
Greg’s current role as CEO at Creativity Inc has seen him steer the organisation through much change with particular emphasis on Person Centred Approaches, program development, growth and re-branding. Creativity Inc has more than doubled in size during his 7 year tenure and Greg is looking forward to the substantial changes that the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will bring to the sector.
